The old soap bar-shaped mouse was still
a perfectly fine product, albeit not ergonomic in form. The manufacturing
molds were still good for many thousands of units, so we decided to keep
selling it, but at a low price point for the bargain shoppers.
We changed the color to black to give it a cool factor and designed
a playful package for it that looks like a wedge of cheese.

We shortened the extra-long cord and reduced the number of goodies that
had come with it in order to minimize the production cost. It was a simple,
smart and successful way to use an existing asset.
